Invisible Light

There are many types of invisible light. To the shorter to the longest. The more shorter the more dangerous is the ray. An example the ultraviolet light , the x rays and thr gamma ray.

Radio Waves

Radio Waves are the longest waves of the electromagnetic sprectrum. Broadcoast stations use them to carry signals in a kind of code___ AM and FM. In AM the height of the waves is changed to carry the signal. In FM the frequenzy changes.

Microwaves

Microwaves are shortwave radio waves.Microwave ovens can heat many foods faster, using less energy tan a regular oven. As the water molecules move faster, the foods gets hotter. Water in foods absorbs microwaves very readily.

Infrared Light

Infrared means " just beyond red". Infrared waves are next to visible light.When you stand in sunligt, it is Sun' infrared waves rhat warm you. Special photographic film and electronic sensors can be used to detect infrared light.

Ultraviolet Ligth (UV)

UV light causes chemical changes. It can produce vitamin D to your body. Your body needs vitamin D to have bones and teeth healthy.However, UV can cause harm.UV light from the Sun causes sunburn.Scientists have found that UV light can also cause some forms of cancer on the skin.

Gamma and X rays

The shortest wavelenghts of the sprectrum__Xrays and gamma rays__have great penetrating power. X rays can pass right through most objects.This means X rays can produce a picture when theys pass through an arm or leg, or your jaw. A special " gamma camera" detects the rays and produces images of activity in the person's brain.
